Man Found Hiding After Attempted Break-In: Santa Cruz Police
A patrolling sergeant became suspicious after they noticed the door of a gas station pried open and a man hiding nearby.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — A patrolling Santa Cruz Police Department sergeant caught an alleged burglar breaking into a Valero gas station on upper Ocean Street while conducting extra patrols this week. Jed Sinkler was seen hiding behind a propane storage box near the front doors, one of which had been partially pried open, police say.
The sergeant's "spidey senses (were) tingling," the department wrote in a Facebook post. Sinkler admitted to trying to open the doors, and had pry bars a glass cutter and large rock, police say. He was arrested on suspicion of charges related to prowling and attempted burglary.
