Meteors, Fireball Over The Central Coast: Photo Of The Week
This photo was taken at the observatory in Fremont Peak State Park.

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA — Richard Rajah captured this photo of the Perseid Meteor Shower last weekend as it peaked for the year. This blended photo shows 2 meteors and a fireball, seen in the trees on the right side of the photo. It was taken at the observatory at Fremont Peak State Park. If you are interested in visiting the observatory, there are several events scheduled for September. Also worth adding to your planner is an eclipse on Oct. 14. The events are free, but you must pay a park admittance fee.
Thank you for sharing your photo, Richard!
