Missing Boy, 11, Tragically Found Dead In Aptos Pool
A deputy who spotted him in a complex's pool tried unsuccessfully to revive him. It appears he fell in accidentally.

An 11-year-old boy died Friday after accidentally falling into a swimming pool in the unincorporated Santa Cruz County area of Aptos despite a sheriff’s deputy’s attempt to save him, a sheriff’s spokesman said today.
The boy, who is not yet being identified, had been reported missing Friday afternoon and deputies started looking for him in the neighborhood of his home in the 1000 block of Via Tomasol in Aptos, Santa Cruz County sheriff’s Sgt. Kelly Kent said.
One of the deputies saw the boy underwater inside a swimming pool at a town home complex, drove into the water to get him out and immediately performed CPR on him, Kent said.
