Missing Man From Santa Cruz Co. Found Safe

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA – Santa Cruz County sheriff's officials announced this afternoon that a man missing since Tuesday was safely located.

Evan Bonnema, 30, was last reported seen in the area of 79 Aldridge Lane in Corralitos, according to sheriff's officials, and was reported missing when he did not return home.

"Evan was reported missing when he did not return home which was not normal," the agency said at the time.

"Evan Bonemma contacted his family by phone and asked for a ride home," the agency said today. "Evan is well and returned home moments ago. Evan was Voluntarily Missing and since he had his cell phone off was unaware that people were searching for him.

"The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all the Corralitos community members that volunteered their time helping to look for Evan due to the suspicious circumstances of the situation. We commend the effort and concern of all those who spent their time helping to try and find Evan."
