Missing Person Alert From Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Deputies
The man, 64, is described as a 6 foot 2 inch black man, 158 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair.
Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a 64-year-old Santa Cruz resident who was reported missing today, sheriff’s officials said.
Joseph Copeland was last seen at 8:30 a.m. near the Soquel Avenue and State Highway 1 overpass.
Staff of the Hearts and Hands rehabilitation facility at 2990 Soquel Ave. near Santa Cruz reported Copeland missing.

Deputies said Copeland has medical issues that put him at risk if he is not found.
Copeland can be described as a 6 foot 2 inch black man, 158 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair.

He was wearing green sweatpants, a green jacket, a red long-sleeved shirt, black woven hat and black tennis shoes. Copeland has been known to go to the Coral Street shelter and the Emeline Street facility, deputies said.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Copeland is being asked to call the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office dispatch at (831) 471-1121.
