Body Of Missing Woman, 73, Found In Santa Cruz County

Officials believe she was hit by a car between Tuesday to Thursday.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Officials say they have located missing person Sara Youhas, 73, of Boulder Creek, who was found dead near her home, victim of an apparent hit-and-run.

Youhas was last heard from on Tuesday night, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday in a call for the public's help. She lived near Bear Creek Road, near Keller Drive, and was known for taking walks along Bear Creek.

Her body was found near Bear Creek, east of View Drive, California Highway Patrol said. CHP believes she was struck some time from Tuesday to Thursday while walking on the road and rolled down the embankment next to the road.
