To keep traffic flowing on Bay Street the project also removed the stop sign control on both eastbound and westbound Bay Street at California Avenue. This results in cross traffic no longer stopping on Bay Street for traffic heading north on California Avenue.
The intersection of Seaside Street and Rankin Street has also been converted to ALL-WAY stop sign control, allowing for trail users to cross each street with traffic stopped.

The new stop sign controls will have substantial impact on traffic, bike and pedestrian circulation. Additional warning signage has been added at each intersection to alert drivers of the recent changes.
