Parolee In Jail After Allegedly Stealing Tire In Santa Cruz Co.
While deputies were investigating a report of an SUV with flat tires, a couple called to report their tire had just been stolen.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A Santa Cruz County man accused of stealing a tire off of a parked car was arrested this week, Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office officials said. Deputies allegedly discovered the suspect, later identified as 41-year-old Ronald Dillon, with a tire and tire iron in hand while they were investigating a report of an SUV with two flat tires parked near 7th and Soquel avenues.
While deputies were investigating the incident, a couple called to report their tire had just been stolen. Dillon, who was found to be on parole, was arrested on suspicion of theft and possessing burglary tools, in addition to violating parole. Dillon was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
