PG&E Weekend Power Outage: Santa Cruz County Asked To Prepare
The likely outage is due to severe wind that's forecast to hit the area beginning Saturday about 6 p.m.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Residents and businesses in Santa Cruz County are being advised of a possible Public Safety Power Shutoff this weekend due to severe fire weather that's forecast to hit the area beginning Saturday about 3 p.m. and possibly extending into Monday.
Residents are being advised to stock extra batteries, water and non-perishable foods in case the utility does cut power.
