Probationer Arrested On Santa Cruz County School Campus

Authorities said the man had a stolen computer and a BB gun.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A man on probation was arrested Monday morning after deputies allegedly found him trespassing on an elementary school campus in Santa Cruz. A citizen alerted the sheriff's office after seeing the man at Green Acres Elementary School, officials said.

The man, later identified as 30-year-old Michael Norman, was found camped out on the campus. Authorities said Norman, who is on probation, had a stolen computer and a BB gun among his belongings. Norman was booked at the Santa Cruz County Jail on suspicion of possessing stolen property and possessing a weapon at a school.
