Professional Development: Game Design

Games aren’t just for fun anymore. With humble beginnings on arcade machines and the Atari 2600, video games have expanded to become a cultural phenomenon and unique technique for education, storytelling, social change, and of course entertainment.

Classroom Applications:
• Learn the basics of computer programming using Game Maker
• Create a game to tell a story or demonstrate a concept
• Design a game as a class or in small groups

Five sessions: Oct 13th to 17th form 4-6pm
