SANTA CRUZ, CA — The UC Santa Cruz Police Department is asking for the community’s help in investigating a rash of campus thefts that occurred from mid to late October.
The department received reports of three burglaries, seven incidents of grand theft, and 10 incidents of petty theft during the period. Many of the thefts happened in residence halls or parking lots, according to campus police. See a detailed list of all the UCSC thefts reported during the timeframe.
The campus community is encouraged to be vigilant and to immediately report any crimes, possible crimes in progress, as well as any suspicious behavior by calling 911. Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call the campus police dispatch center at (831) 459-2231, ext. 1.
