Santa Cruz County Bank Arts Collaborative presents Rhythms
of Still Life!
Twenty local artists, all members of the Santa Cruz Oil
Painters, (SCOP), have captured the beauty, vibrancy, and diversity that is
still life painting. In the quiet and
contemplative environment of their studios, artists create wonderful moments in time. Some artists take a traditional approach and explore the great beauty of the humble objects around us, while others use it as a vehicle to explore new artistic possibilities or to convey political or social meaning.
Rhythms of Still Life will be on view at each of the Bank's
five branch locations from May 15 - August 15, 2014. Please join us for an opening reception on Thursday, June 12
from 5-7pm at Santa Cruz County Bank at 720 Front St. Meet the artists of the
show, view the art and mingle with your fellow community members. The event is
free and the public is welcome to attend.
