RonKat is a prolific, Grammy-nominated, Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI)-winning songwriter and has added new and exciting music to the Katdelic set-list keeping the show fresh and the Dance Floor occupied from start to finish.

RonKat Spearman was asked by George Clinton in 2000 to join George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic. He spent the next ten years touring the world as a guitar player and singer for Parliament-Funkadelic honing his performance skills in the process. While he drew deep inspiration from playing with P Funk, RonKat continued to develop his own style as a songwriter and composer for what would become his own band--Katdelic. He is polished entertainer, and Katdelic delivers the goods. The band is a hybrid of rock, funk, soul, and pop; an infectious, sophisticated mix that moves mind and body into a groove that lasts all night long. Katdelic is the new school of sophisticated, funky expression for now, with a wide audience appeal, and the skills and charisma to deliver a remarkable show every time. Katdelic is a tidal wave of musical love coming right at ya!

“It’s all about the beats for me, coupled with a cold melody and good lyrics. I like to keep my mind open to the pulse of the people because it inspires me, whether I am writing a love song, a dance song or a funky groove.” -RonKat Spearman

REVIEWS & QUOTES:
“RonKat Spearman’s Katdelic – High Sierra Music Festival - 10:15-11:30 PM – Vaudeville Tent - by Dennis Cook for JamBase: Best damn Funkadelic music I’ve heard in ten years. Yes, I’m putting it that straight and clear, kids. As a lifelong funkonaut – my first P-Funk show was Funk On The Green in 1979 in Oakland (age 12) - who lost faith in the George Clinton lead outfit about a decade ago, Katdelic was like making out with an old flame I’d really, really, really missed. Every feature was just right – the clothes and hair, the tough musicianship, the alluring mix of wildness and expert control, the pheromones pouring off the stage and right back from the getting down crowd. It was almost enough to make a man slip on a diaper in tribute to the late Garry Shider and remind everyone around that you got a thing, I got a thing, everybody got a thing. And this ain’t no ghost dance! Sure, they nail the classic P-Funk cuts with aplomb but the original tunes hold their own against one of the great American songbooks. This is precisely where most funk falls apart for me – the tunes – and RonKat has the goods, as well as fine instincts for what old numbers to trot out and where to place them in the mix. A incendiary guest turn from Stanley Jordan, who’s current look was a natural fit for Katdelic, just amped things up to ri-dunk-u-lous. I’m now officially up for the downstroke ANY time RonKat and his crew wanna work the churn!

“Not only does he sing and play about five different instruments well, RonKat is literally a song writing machine who is able to write a song in less time than it takes most people to write a letter” -American Music Press

“RonKat is a crowd pleaser and he is truly funky” -George Clinton

“RonKat kicks ass” - Garry Shider “Starchild”

OPENING ACT, Pamela Parker:
Pamela Parker’s new album, “Evolutionary Process,” is up for Album of the Year in Vancouver B.C., and she has opened for bands like Rock & Roll Hall-of-Famers, Heart (band). She is one of the hottest San Francisco stars on the West Coast, and is building a strong following on the East Coast. She is an opera-trained vocalist and monster lead-guitarist, as well as a classically-trained pianist and gifted songwriter. In other words, the total package. Pamela’s talent has allowed her to cherry-pick the very best musicians to form an all-star rock band. She has studied everything from Classical to Heavy Metal, Soul, Jazz, Pop, Blues, Rock, Funk, & Folk and fuses it into a stunning vocal style all her own. The music is classic high energy Rock & Roll. Powerful soulful vocals with an uncanny knack for hooks, matched with great guitar-riffage and excellent song craft are the hallmarks of the Pamela Parker sound. In 2013, she released her debut Rock album, “Evolutionary Process,” (including 11 originals composed by Ms. Parker), to critical acclaim. Her live shows are electrifying as she is able to stretch her musical talents and blow people’s minds with her incredible vocals, lead guitar prowess and stellar band mates. Her commanding stage presence and Rock & Roll image are just the icing on the cake!
