1 Dead, 2 Injured In Separate Motorcycles Crashes

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA -- One person died and two people were injured in separate motorcycle collisions this afternoon in unincorporated Santa Clara County west of Gilroy, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A passenger on a bike died in a collision that was first reported at 2:30 p.m. on state Highway 152 at Watsonville Road.

In the other collision reported at 12:30 p.m., a motorcyclist suffered major injuries on Highway 152 near Sprig Lake in Mount Madonna County Park. The collision occurred in a construction zone, a CHP dispatcher said.
