The Santa Cruz Chorale Presents: "Viva Vivaldi"

The Santa Cruz Chorale, accompanied by the Monterey Bay Sinfonietta, Vlada Volkova-Moran (Organ) and soloists invites you to our Spring concert dedicated to the music of Antonio Vivaldi. The central work of the concert is the festive Gloria in D major for choir, orchestra, and soloists. Besides Laetatus sum and Laudate Dominum omnes gentes, two other joyous and expressive pieces by Vivaldi, we will also perform the exuberant Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied by Georg Philipp Telemann, and two inspirational motets from the Romantic period, Cantique de Jean Racine by Gabriel Fauré and Verleih uns Frieden by Felix Mendelssohn.
