Santa Cruz Co. Shelter Offering Half-Priced Pet Adoptions On Senior Animals In August
The shelter has lots of sweet dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits and other animals available for adoption.
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Want a new pet but don’t want to worry about whether or not your new dog or cat is housebroken? While the puppy and kitten phases are adorable, they can also be a lot of work. Those looking for a furry companion are asked to consider adopting animals six years or older, who are often overlooked in shelters, and already trained. Shelter officials say the personalities of older pets can also be easier to evaluate.
To help sweet senior pets find their forever homes, the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter is offering half-priced adoptions on all adoptable animals six years and older during the month of August 2017.
The senior pet adoption packages include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip ID, veterinary exam, carrier for cats and rabbits, and a collar, leash, and license for dogs and pet gift bags full of goodies from local pet supply stores.
