Watch: Man Rescued After Falling Onto Davenport Beach From Cliff
Multiple agencies responded to save the man, who appeared to be suffering from the onset of hypothermia, after he fell onto the beach.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A young man visiting Davenport beaches Wednesday was walking along the bluffs above the beach when he fell into a water drainage shaft leading to the beach and was injured. A Santa Cruz County Sheriff's deputy found him in the tide, unable to move and possibly suffering from the onset of hypothermia.
The deputy covered him in his jacket and waited with the man while other deputies arrived, according to a Sheriff's Office Facebook post. The Sheriff's Office was joined by Cal Fire, and first responders from Santa Cruz, Davenport and San Mateo.
They coordinated a cliff rescue and were able to rescue the man. An ambulance took him to a trauma center for his injuries, according to the Sheriff's Office.
