Santa Cruz County Sheriff Urges Caution As Roads Flood
The Santa Cruz County Sheriff asked drivers to drive safely and slowly during rainy weather after a car was towed from a closed road.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office is urging drivers to be cautious on rain-drenched roads after a driver ignored a closed roadway sign and was towed from a flooded portion of Paulsen Road Monday.
Drivers should drive safely and slowly, the sheriff's office said on Facebook.
Just six inches of fast-moving water can knock over an adult and a foot of rushing water can carry away most cars, according to The National Weather Service. Two feet of rushing water can carry away SUVs and trucks.
