Santa Cruz Police Search For Masked Bank Robber
Police in Santa Cruz were investigating a bank robbery after masked suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash.
SANTA CRUZ, CA — Police were searching for a man who reportedly robbed a bank in Santa Cruz on Friday.
Witnesses told officers that the masked suspect, caught on security cameras, walked into Comerica Bank on 25 Rivera Street around 2:20 p.m., presented a note to the bank teller with a drawing of a bomb on it and demanded money, the Santa Cruz Police Department said in a statement.
Officers quickly arrived on the scene and surrounded the bank. Evidence found near the bank suggested that the suspect changed clothes outside to evade capture, authorities said.

No weapon was seen and no one was injured in the incident, police said.
Since the man was wearing a mask, the suspect description was limited to a man of unknown race and age.
