VICTIM(S): Adult Male

INFORMATION

On March 31, 2020, at approximately 12:13 pm, Santa Cruz Police patrol officers responded to the 100 block of Leibrandt Avenue on multiple reports of gunshots heard in the area. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to a Bay Area trauma center for his injuries and is in stable condition.

Officers interviewed witnesses and collected evidence at the crime scene. Santa Cruz Police Detectives are actively following up on leads and looking for additional video evidence.

Investigations are following up on any possible ties to gang activity. At this time, there is no further description of the suspect(s).
