Santa Cruz Prowler Captured on Camera Multiple Times, Police Say

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Police officials are asking for the public’s help identifying a prowler caught on camera multiple times peering into car windows and yards in the westside neighborhoods of Santa Cruz within the last week. According to police, the first incident occurred on Jan. 21 and he was spotted again on Jan. 23, 25 and 26.

“The suspect is seen on camera looking for things to steal in a car and wearing the same backpack as in the other videos/photos,” police said via social media.

Early the next morning, another neighborhood camera captured the same suspect in the 100 block of Laurent Street casing backyards, police said.
