Santa Cruz Sanctuary Village Plans 'Big Tent Meeting'

Announcement from Santa Cruz Sanctuary Village:

It’s that time of year again; freezing temperatures are just around the corner. Thousands of people sleep outside and many are at risk of hypothermia and death.

Last year a group of local citizens formed to create a Warming Center Program. The program is a system that includes various large rooms, over-night monitors, a stock of floor pads, activation management and a 211 hotline. The program is in its infancy and still needs support and partnership from the community. We need your help.

We’re calling out to local agencies that serve the homeless population, government officials and pertinent departments, the faith community and the community at large to come together.

If you’re unable to attend this important meeting then please schedule a time that we can meet and discuss your role in this program.
