Santa Cruz Stabbing Suspect Sought

SANTA CRUZ, CA -- Santa Cruz police are looking for a man in connection with a stabbing this morning near the intersection of Laurel Street and Pacific Avenue east of the beach boardwalk, they said.

At around 7:18 a.m., officers responded to a fight between two transient men which one of them stabbed the other. The 40-year-old victim was treated at tthe scene by paramedics and then taken to the hospital with
non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The second man was still being sought this afternoon.

The investigation is ongoing, and Santa Cruz police detectives urge anyone with information to call them at (831) 471-1131 or (831) 420-5820.
