Santa Cruz Supes To Consider 3 Project Homekey Approvals
Santa Cruz County will consider $62.5 million in grant applications to convert three properties into affordable and homeless housing.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — The Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors will consider three Project Homekey affordable housing applications Tuesday. Two weeks ago, the Board voted to back its first Project Homekey development for a seven-unit affordable housing project in Santa Cruz.
County Human Services will present proposals for:
- $10 million to convert Jaye’s Timberlane Resort in Ben Lomond into a 14-room affordable housing complex for veterans.
- $13.5 million to build 35 units on a vacant lot in Soquel.
- $39 million to convert the Rodeway Inn in Watsonville into 94 permanent supportive housing micro-units.
