Santa Cruz, Watsonville Activists Get Response: Trump Impeached
The rallies were held Tuesday night, a day before the U.S. House of Representatives voted to impeach President Donald Trump.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Hundreds of people who gathered in front at the Santa Cruz Town Clock and Watsonville City Plaza on Tuesday evening to rally in support of impeachment proceedings targeting President Donald Trump were not disappointed. The U.S. House of Representatives voted Wednesday night to impeach the president on charges of abuse of power and obstructing Congress.
The Santa Cruz County rallies, purposely held the night before the Democrat-controlled House was expected to impeach the nation's 45th president, were part of more than 600 events organized across the country by liberal organization MoveOn.org.
Trump is the third president in U.S. history to be impeached.
