Scotts Valley Post Office Reopens Following Crash
The post office reopened Tuesday morning after a car crashed into its front pillar.

SCOTTS VALLEY, CA — The Scotts Valley Post Office has reopened Tuesday following a Monday crash, an employee told Patch.
On Monday just before 12:51 p.m., a car crashed into the support pillar of the building’s entrance archway, Scotts Valley Fire District Battalion Chief Chris Stubendorff told the Santa Cruz Sentinel. Scotts Valley Police Department Sgt. Pascale Drozek told The Sentinel the crash appeared to be an accident not caused by drugs or alcohol.
Stubendorff said the building wasn’t in a “major risk of failure,” but had to be closed off because of the public entrance. Post office maintenance crews will repair the pillar.
