Search Warrant Prompts Santa Cruz Road Closure

SANTA CRUZ, CA — The area near the 300 block of Pennsylvania Street was closed Monday afternoon as police served a search warrant at 1:20 p.m., according to a press release from the Santa Cruz Police Department.

Investigators heard one of the residents at the 300 Pennsylvania Street home had an assault rifle. No arrests were made, but the police department's tactical team secured the scene.

Pennsylvania was closed between Soquel and Broadway Avenues and the road was soon reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
