Send Santa Letters At The Sheriff's Office
Letters can be dropped off in the Sheriff's Office headquarters. Sheriff Jim Hart's wishlist? A safe community, new jail and DNA lab.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Making your wishes known to Santa this year is as easy as stepping into the lobby of the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office, finding a cherry red mailbox decorated with snowflakes and topped with a gold bow, and dropping in your letter. "Express shipping to the North Pole" is included, the office wrote on Facebook.
Letters must include a valid return address and the sender's name. Be sure to drop them off in the Sheriff's Office lobby (5200 Soquel Ave.) by Dec. 20 in order to give Santa enough time to reply. The office is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sheriff Jim Hart has already mailed his letter, a video attached to the Facebook post shows. He wants a safe community, new jail and DNA lab.
