Shakeup At Board Of Supervisors: Greg Caput Named Chair
Santa Cruz County Supervisor Greg Caput is in as chair in 2020 and Bruce McPherson is vice chair.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — The Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors announced Tuesday that outgoing chair Ryan Coonerty will be replaced by Greg Caput.
Supervisor Bruce McPherson will serve as vice chair. The men will serve one-year terms.
Caput represents the county's Fourth District, which induces most of Watsonville and much of the Pajaro Valley. He has served on the board since 2010.

McPherson represents the Fifth District, which includes the San Lorenzo Valley, most of Scotts Valley and a sliver of Santa Cruz. He served as Secretary of State, and twice served in both the state Assembly and Senate.
"I’m honored by the trust placed in me by my colleagues on the Board," Caput said in a press release from the county. "As Chair, I remain and will continue to be a strong advocate for the people of Santa Cruz County."
