SANTA CRUZ, CA — A man was arrested Wednesday in Santa Cruz in connection with an assault last year in which a skateboard was wielded as a weapon, police said.

Daniel Keough, 34, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault after he attacked a member at the Elks Lodge facility at 150 Jewel St. with a skateboard in September, police said. Officers couldn't find him in the area, but DNA evidence led to Keough's arrest.

He was booked into Santa Cruz County jail.
