Stolen Bike Recovered By Santa Cruz Police: Is It Yours?

SANTA CRUZ, CA — A man who was wanted on an active warrant and was arrested over the weekend by Santa Cruz police on suspicion of drug possession, also had a stolen bike in his possession and officers are trying to find the rightful owner. Tyronne Abrams, a 56-year-old transient from Santa Cruz, was taken into custody over the weekend in the 100 block of Chestnut Street after police received a call about someone attempting to break into a vehicle in the area.

During the police contact, officers discovered Abrams had a warrant for his arrest and was in possession of a bike with a filed-off serial number, 75 grams of crystal methamphetamine and a cap gun, according to the SCPD.

Police are trying to get the bike back to its rightful owner.
