SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A man driving a stolen red truck turned in front of a Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office patrol car and caused a crash this week, officials said. Deputies determined that the driver, later identified as Jesse Schrock, was under investigation for an alleged car theft earlier in the week.

“The car that was reported stolen was eventually found on Bear Creek Canyon, but a guitar was missing from the vehicle,” authorities said.

Deputies recovered the guitar from the red truck. No one was injured during the collision. No other information is available.
