Stolen Items Returned: Security Camera Films Santa Cruz Burglary
Items stolen from the garage of a Santa Cruz County home last week were found thanks to surveillance camera footage.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — After a burglar stole items from a local garage last week, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office said it was able to track down the suspect and return most of the stolen items, thanks to a neighbor's surveillance camera.
The suspected burglar first stole the garage remote, then returned to steal several things from the garage, such as a bicycle and golf clubs, according to a Sheriff's Office Facebook post.
The neighbor's camera filmed the crime and offered a glimpse of the truck that the burglar drove. That truck was stolen in Half Moon Bay, the Sheriff's Office said.
