Stolen Wedding Ring Returned; Duo Arrested

Two people were arrested on suspicion of burglary after stolen property was found this week, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office said.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A wedding ring was among thousands of dollars worth of property recently found by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office. The wedding ring and other items were returned to their rightful owners, a Santa Cruz County family, deputies said.

Purses, electronics, car keys, cash and other items were among the stolen things recovered, deputies said.

Leslie Padraza, 32, and Juan S. Sandoval, 50, were arrested Tuesday.

Padraza was charged with two counts of burglary, a count of theft and a count of conspiracy to commit a crime, jail records show.

Sandoval was charged with three counts of burglary and a count of conspiracy to commit a crime, jail records show.

Padraza and Sandoval remained in jail as of Wednesday afternoon.
