Structure, Brush Fire Reported In Aptos
Air and ground crews deployed by Cal Fire and Aptos/La Selva Fire District. (Breaking)

APTOS, CA – Crews this afternoon battled a structure and a one-acre vegetation fires in the Aptos area, according to reports.
"Agressive" air and ground attacks were launched by Cal Fire's San Mateo-Santa Cruz Unit and Aptos firefighters shortly before 3 p.m., the department reported via social media using #Danube.
The agency reported the vegetation fire was contained at about 3:15 p.m. with ground crews still at the scene.

The fire is in the area of the end of Paseo Bonito Lane, near Vienna and Haas drives, according to the Aptos/La Selva Fire Protection District.
"Any non-essential travel down those streets is discouraged at this time, to allow for easier emergency vehicle access," the district said at about 3:20 p.m. "The latest report is that the forward spread of the fire has stopped, and working on fully extinguishing the area."

The type of building involved could not be confirmed.
