Transient Suspected In Robbery, Illegal Drugs: Santa Cruz Police

SANTA CRUZ, CA — A 43-year-old transient was arrested Sunday night in Santa Cruz after police there said he was found with illegal drugs and was a suspect associated with a robbery.

Joaquin Romero was taken into custody around 11:37 p.m. following a "high-risk" traffic stop in the parking lot of Woodstock's at 710 Front St.

Romero was in possession of drug paraphernalia, cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine for sale, according to the Santa Cruz Police Department.
