Councilmembers Face Recall Threat On March Ballot

Two Santa Cruz Council members have been placed on the March 2020 ballot for a recall vote.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Primary election voters will decide whether to recall Santa Cruz City Councilmembers Drew Glover and Christopher Krohn during the March 3 primary election.

Recall petitions for Glover and Krohn were filed June 6, according to city records. Petitioners took issue with their efforts to keep open the Ross Camp, create permanent homeless encampments in residential areas and more.

Voters will be asked on the ballot, in separate initiatives, whether they want to recall Glover and/or Krohn. Voters who cast "yes" ballots will have the option of naming a successor(s).
