$1.2 Million Powerball Ticket Sold In Santa Monica

The local winner hasn't yet come forward to claim their prize – could it be you?

SANTA MONICA, CA – A $1.2 million Powerball ticket was sold in Santa Monica, lottery officials say. Although the local winning ticket didn't hit the big jackpot, it matched five numbers, according to ABC7. It was sold at Ed's Liquor Store in the 800 block of Pico Boulevard, according to CBS Los Angeles

The winning numbers were drawn Sunday night: 22, 57, 59, 60, 66, and the Powerball number was 7. The manager of Ed's Liquor was excited over his location's first major win, according to ABC7.

"I was surprised this morning. Yesterday, when they called me, I was like, 'Wow, that's nice!' So, hopefully they keep winning the big one," he told ABC7.

The winner of the Santa Monica ticket has not yet come forward. All lottery winners are advised to immediately sign their tickets in ink and visit a local California lottery office, CBS Los Angeles reported.

As for the big prize, someone in Pennsylvania matched all six numbers for $456.7 million. It's the eighth largest jackpot in Powerball history, according to ABC7.
