3 Arrested After Police Find Huge Narcotics, Weapons Stash
A massive raid netted 21 handguns, 8 long guns/rifles and more than 4,000 rounds of ammunition, along with $200,000 cash and more.
SANTA MONICA, CA – Santa Monica police arrested two men and a woman for their alleged involvement in a major drug ring, it was announced Tuesday.
The arrests were the culmination of a massive raid that netted 21 handguns, 8 long guns/rifles and more than 4,000 rounds of ammunition, along with $200,000 cash, cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin, according to SMPD.
Pedro Cesar Isais, 28, of Los Angeles, and 30-year-old Valarie Marie Cruz, of Inglewood were each booked for possession of heroin for the purpose of selling; possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of selling; possession of narcotics with a loaded firearm; and child endangerment, according to SMPD. Alejandro Cruz, 25, of Los Angeles, was booked for possession of heroin for the purpose of sales, police said. They were booked at the Santa Monica Police Department Jail.

Last week, the Santa Monica Police Department's Narcotics/Vice Unit and SWAT team served multiple search warrants related to a narcotics sales investigation that began in Santa Monica, authorities said.
While police executed the search warrant – which involved two homes, one in Lennox and another in Hawthorne, multiple cars and people – detectives recovered the massive stash of drugs, guns and cash, police said. Detectives will be presenting the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration, SMPD said.
