3 Arrested On Suspicion Of Multiple Thefts In Santa Monica

SANTA MONICA, CA — Three people were arrested on suspicion of identity theft, possession of stolen property and grand theft after the Santa Monica Police Department found countless stolen items, department officials announced Monday.

According to Sergeant Erika Aklufi with SMPD, the group was arrested in the morning on March 18. Officers said the three suspects had more than 20 stolen cellphones in a Faraday bag, several stolen credit cards and a black Louis Vuitton purse that had a stolen ID card inside.

No information was provided about the identities of the three suspects.

Aklufi said known victims who tracked their phones told police they had last seen them at The Victorian located at 2640 Main St and Jameson's Pub at 2702 Main St.

Anyone who believes they may be a victim of theft was advised to file a stolen property report by calling SMPD's non-emergency number at 310-458-8491.
