The suspects attempted to get away on an Expo Line train, but were taken into custody on the train platform, police said.

SANTA MONICA, CA – Three boys were arrested in Santa Monica Wednesday after allegedly crashing an SUV that had been carjacked days ago in Los Angeles, fleeing from the scene and attempting to get away on an Expo Line train, police announced.
The crash occurred about 12:30 p.m. in the area of Fifth Street and Colorado Avenue, according to Santa Monica Police Department Lt. Saul Rodriguez.
It's unclear if the trio were involved in the carjacking earlier this week, details of which were not immediately available.
