5 Arrested During Beach Operation: Santa Monica Police
The operation included 30 traffic stops, six citations and five arrests, according to police.
SANTA MONICA, CA — Santa Monica police made five arrests during an operation focused on livability and traffic safety in the city’s beach areas, authorities said.
Police on Saturday announced the results of the operation, which was conducted in the 1550 Beach Lot and Ocean Front Walk area.
The operation included 30 traffic stops, six citations for vehicle violations, two driving under the influence investigations, two documented gang contacts and five arrests, according to police.

The arrests were associated with outstanding warrants, parole violations, resisting or obstructing officers, narcotics possession, charges related to driving under the influence and municipal code violations, police said.
