7-Year-Old Missing In Santa Monica; Police Seek Public's Help

The boy was last seen a day ago with his father, who "may be experiencing a mental health crisis," police said.

SANTA MONICA, CA — Police are seeking the public’s help to find a 7-year-old who is missing in Santa Monica.

King Darius Lozada was last seen around 6:50 p.m. Tuesday in an alley near Arizona Avenue and Berkeley Street with his father, 55-year-old Darius Clay Jackson, according to police.

“King may be at risk. Darius Clay Jackson may be experiencing a mental health crisis,” the Santa Monica Police Department said in a social media post Wednesday evening.

Lozada is 4 feet tall, weighs 85 pounds, was wearing a dark blue sweatshirt and light blue sweatpants, and may be on foot or riding a black electric scooter, according to police.

Jackson is 210 pounds and 6 feet, 3 inches tall, police said, adding he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and white shoes.
