Director Of Santa Monica Nonprofit, Wife Found Dead

Police are investigating what they say was a murder-suicide at the Venice home of a prominent Santa Monica nonprofit director.

Police are investigating what they say was a murder-suicide at the Venice home of the director of a Santa Monica nonprofit.

Jeremy Ferguson,50 and his wife Mandy Zelinka, 49, were found dead by Los Angeles Police Department officers on Tuesday, the LAPD told City News Service.

Police were called at 10:50 a.m. April 21 to 605 Superba Avenue near Venice Boulevard, where they found the couple. Their deaths are being investigated as a murder-suicide, police said.

According to news reports, Ferguson left a suicide note that included directions on how to access the couple's property.

Ferguson was the director of operations at Downtown Santa Monica Inc., the nonprofit managing the city's downtown business improvement district and Third Street Promenade.
