SANTA MONICA, CA — Raising Cane's is opening its first Westside restaurant next week in downtown Santa Monica.
The new location, on the Third Street Promenade near Santa Monica Boulevard, is scheduled to open at 10 a.m. June 10, a company spokesperson told Patch.
To mark the opening, the company plans a series of giveaways and events.
A drawing will award 20 customers free Raising Cane's for a year. Entries will be accepted from 8 to 9 a.m. on opening day, with winners selected shortly afterward. Participants must be present to win.
The first 200 customers who purchase a combo meal inside the restaurant will receive a commemorative Santa Monica beach towel and a card for a free Box Combo on a future visit, while supplies last.
The restaurant's first customer in line will also receive a gift basket.
Opening-day festivities will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, live entertainment and $1,000 donations to the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Monica and the Santa Monica Education Foundation.
The restaurant will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.
Cane's is in the midst of a rapid expansion nationwide and in California.
The Santa Monica location is one of at least seven set to open in the near future in the Golden State.
