SANTA MONICA, CA — An employee at a Santa Monica business was shot during an armed robbery on Wednesday morning, according to police.
Officers responded around 8:15 a.m. to Smoke World in the 1900 block of Lincoln Boulevard after reports of an armed robbery involving two suspects, police said. The employee suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, according to police, who said that an officer applied a tourniquet and the worker was taken to a hospital.
The suspects were last seen in a dark gray Dodge Charger traveling south on Lincoln Boulevard, police said. Anyone who sees such a vehicle should call 911 and not approach, according to police.
