SANTA MONICA, CA — A person was taken into custody Saturday night in connection with the killing of a woman who was found dead by authorities in a Santa Monica apartment, according to police.
Officers responded to a call around 5:20 p.m. Saturday about a woman in need of medical help in an apartment in the 1900 block of Pico Boulevard, police said. They arrived to find the woman suffering from significant injuries, and she was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
About three hours later, police announced on social media that they had taken a person into custody and were not seeking any additional suspects, authorities said, noting that law enforcement was investigating the case as a homicide.
