Our parks don't just appear overnight; they take years of passionate advocacy and teamwork.

When I served on the Recreation and Parks Commission from 2002 to 2016, we made it our mission to expand green spaces throughout the city. We pushed to build them so our youth and families have places to play. I'll always treat our parks and open spaces as priceless assets that can't be sold off to high-density developers.
