Avoid Swimming At The Santa Monica Pier: LA County
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health issued a warning for a Santa Monica beach Tuesday.

SANTA MONICA, CA — This week will be a scorcher in Santa Monica, but beachgoers should resist the urge to hop in the ocean for relief, the Los Angeles County Public Health Department advised Tuesday.
Testing revealed high bacteria levels at the Santa Monica Pier, meaning beachgoers should avoid swimming, surfing and playing in the ocean water, according to the department. The warning was also issued for Mother's Beach in Marina Del Rey.
The department has warned of increased bacteria at the Santa Monica Pier and other Los Angeles County beaches for months.
